The Ahom dynasty was established by Sukaphaa in mediaeval era of Assam History. The Ahoms were basically arrived in Assam after crossing the Patkai Mountains. They ruled for nearly 600 years ( 1228 - 1826) . After Sukaphaa several Ahom rulers ruled in Assam. They introduced several systems like paik system, khel system etc. The last ruler of Ahom dynasty was Purandar Singha.
