1. WWF Global Conservation Conference Held in Jaipur
Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav inaugurated the WWF Global Conservation Conference in Jaipur, Rajasthan, on 21 September 2026.
Representatives from more than 100 countries participated in the conference. The discussions focused on conservation, coexistence between people and wildlife, and the importance of involving local communities in conservation efforts.

2. INS Sahyadri and INS Kulish Arrive in Philippines
Indian Naval Ships INS Sahyadri and INS Kulish arrived at Subic Bay, Philippines, on 20 September 2026 to participate in the ADMM-Plus Joint Cooperation Activity (JCA).
The activity brings together maritime forces from ASEAN member states and eight Plus countries. It aims to enhance interoperability, mutual understanding and maritime cooperation.

3. 20th National Rozgar Mela

5. India’s Sugar Sector and Ethanol Programme
According to a PIB factsheet, the Government has fixed the Fair and Remunerative Price (FRP) of sugarcane for sugar season 2026–27 at ₹365 per quintal, based on a basic recovery rate of 10.25%.
The government has also highlighted the role of ethanol blending in reducing dependence on fossil fuels and strengthening energy security.

6. Consumer Price Index – August 2026

7. Vibrant Villages Programme
