1. Special Campaign 6 to begin preparatory phase


The Government of India is launching Special Campaign 6 with its preparatory phase scheduled from 16 September to 30 September 2026. The implementation phase will run from 2 October to 31 October 2026. A major focus of the campaign is the effective collection, segregation and disposal of e-waste. A dedicated web portal is also being launched for the campaign.

2. SEMICON India 2026

3. 18th BRICS Summit held under India’s Chairship


India is hosting the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi as part of its 2026 BRICS Chairship. The summit was scheduled for 12–13 September 2026. India's theme for its BRICS Chairship is “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability.”

4. India’s jute production
