2. TRAI Launches Digital Connectivity Rating Platform
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) launched the Digital Connectivity Rating (DCR) Platform on 25 September 2026.
The platform enables consumers to view ratings of properties based on digital connectivity. Property managers can submit applications for rating, while registered Digital Connectivity Rating Agencies can conduct assessments.
The system considers factors such as fibre readiness, mobile network availability, in-building solutions and Wi-Fi infrastructure. Consumers can search for rated properties by property name, certificate ID or location and verify digitally signed certificates through QR codes.

3. Historic Mountaineering Achievement in Ladakh
The Ministry of Defence reported that the First Ascent Mountaineering Expedition successfully summited 20 previously unclimbed peaks above 6,000 metres in Ladakh in 23 days.
The expedition was undertaken by a team of 20 climbers from the National Institute of Mountaineering and Adventure Sports (NIMAS), Dirang, led by Colonel Ranveer Singh Jamwal.
The expedition covered areas including Chamser-Lungser, Gyama Nala and Chokula in the Ladakh Range.

6. Sixth Cycle of Management Effectiveness Evaluation of Tiger Reserves
The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change launched the 6th Cycle of Management Effectiveness Evaluation of Tiger Reserves (MEE-TR).
The evaluation will cover all 58 tiger reserves in India. The National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) and Wildlife Institute of India (WII) are associated with the exercise.

9. India’s Reusable Space Technology Gets ₹200 Crore RDI Support
The Technology Development Board (TDB) and Agnikul Cosmos Private Limited signed an agreement providing ₹200 crore financial support under the Research Development and Innovation (RDI) Fund.
The project focuses on developing the Agnibaan reusable launch vehicle, with the objective of advancing the technology from TRL-4 and above towards TRL-8.
The project aims at developing a more comprehensive reusable launch system rather than relying only on recovery of the first stage.

The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) marked its 85th Foundation Day.

12. India Launches New Bhuj–Barauni Amrit Bharat Express
Indian Railways approved a new tri-weekly Amrit Bharat Express connecting Bhuj in Gujarat with Barauni in Bihar.
The train will cover approximately 2,532 km and connect important locations across Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
The service is scheduled to operate three days a week, providing an additional rail connection between western and eastern India.

13. Jhansi–Agra Cantt Express Extended to Mathura
Indian Railways approved the extension of Train No. 11901/11902 Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi–Agra Cantt Express up to Mathura.
Following the extension, the total journey distance will increase from 217 km to 270 km.
Commercial stoppages will include Raja ki Mandi, Runkuta, Deen Dayal Dham and Baad.

14. Major DRI Seizure in Assam and Mizoram
The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized 1,25,680 kg of foreign-origin areca nuts and 41,697 kg of foreign-origin poppy seeds, collectively valued at approximately ₹20.31 crore, in operations in Assam and Mizoram.
In Assam, DRI officers intercepted two trucks near Lailapur, Silchar, recovering 16,257 kg of foreign-origin poppy seeds. Four persons were arrested in connection with the transportation of the smuggled poppy seeds.
The areca nuts and poppy seeds seized in Mizoram were suspected to have entered India from Myanmar.

15. CPGRAMS Monthly Report for August 2026
The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) released the 52nd monthly report on the Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) for Central Ministries/Departments.
A total of 2,42,391 grievances were redressed in August 2026. The monthly disposal crossed one lakh cases for the 50th consecutive month.
In the Group A category of the Grievance Redressal Assessment Index (GRAI), the Department of Posts, Department of Telecommunications and Department of Financial Services (Insurance Division) were among the leading departments identified in the report.
