The second edition of investor summit dubbed as ' Advantage Assam 2.0: Investment and Infrastructure Summit 2025', has been announced to be held in Guwahati on February 25 and 26, 2025.


It will be a pragmatic, theme- focused summit, steering clear of extravagance while concentrating on actionable outcomes.


The main focus of this edition is on investment, with extra focus on infrastructure. In infrastructure, main focus on - road sector, railway sector, agriculture sector etc.


Roadshows will also be conducted in six Indian Major cities - Mumbai, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Ahmedabad and Kolkata to engage with investors and raise awareness.


During this summit, a Mega Jhumoir  Dance will be organised , where nearly 7,500 dancers and artistes from the tea garden areas of the State will participate.



The summit will showcase Assam's manufacturing prowess and opportunities in export- oriented manufacturing and services to growing economics, particularly ASEAN and BBN countries. The summit promises to be a major platform for G2B and B2B meetings, displaying the state's investment opportunities. The summit will present a significant opportunity for businesses to explore trade and investment prospects in Assam, particularly in key sectors such as -

a) infrastructure and connectivity.

First edition of Advantage Assam:

The first edition of Advantage Assam was held in Guwahati in 2018, which attracted over rupees 1 lakh crore investment in different sectors related to the State's economy.

The main focus of this edition was primarily on investment.

During this edition of Advantage Assam, MoUs worth nearly rupees 1 lakh crore were signed for investments in the state. But due to COVID pandemic, some initiatives could not be carried forward.

The TATA group started working on the semiconductor unit at Jagiroad in Morigaon district.
