a) Establishment of Jodhpur City: The jodhpur city of Rajasthan was founded on 12 may 1459 by Rao Jodha. This city is known as  Blue City. It is the second largest city of Rajasthan.

b) International nurses day: The international nurses day is celebrated on 12th May every year. The day was first established in 1965 by the International Council of Nurses to coinside with the birthday of Florence nightingale.

c) Birthday of Shikha Pandey: Shikha Pandey is an Indian cricketer and former officer in the Indian Air force. She was born on 12 may 1989.

d) Birthday of K G Balakrishnan: K G Balakrishnan was born on 12 may 1945. He was  former justice of India. He was the first judge from Kerala to become the chief justice of the supreme court.
