1. Yatindra Nath Das Birthday:

Context: Yatindra Nath Das was born on 27 October, 1904, in kalcutta (today kolkata). He was a great freedom fighter and revolutionary.


Some facts about him:

- He was a great freedom fighter who took active participation in India's freedom movement.


- He joined in Non- Cooperation movement , which was led by Mahatma Gandhi. 

- He was arrested in 1929 for Lahore Conspiracy case and was imprisoned in Lahore Jail.


- He was an active member Hindustan Republican Association 


- He began a hunger a hunger strike  and demanded equality for Indian Prisoners.


-He died on September 13, 1929.




2. World Occupational Therapy Day:


Context: 27 October is celebrated as World Occupational Therapy Day.


Some important facts about it:

- The World Occupational Therapy Day was launched on 27 October,2010. This year also this day is celebrated. The main theme of World Occupational Therapy Day is " Opportunity+ Choice=Justice".


The World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT) is the international voice of the occupational therapy profession. Globally, it comprises of 107 national occupational therapy professional organisations.
