BRAIN GAIN: INDIAN SCIENTISTS RETURNING TO INDIA

      It basically refers to returning the Indian scientists to India. According to the Department of Science and Technology , the number of Indian scientists working internationally and returning to India showed a 70 percent jump between 2012 and 2017.

What are the main reasons for brain gain ?

There are several reasons that had affected in brain gain. These are - 

1) Schemes related with research and development: The department of science and technology, India had introduced several schemes for research and development. Ramanujan Fellowship Scheme, Innovation of Science Pursuit for Inspired Research  and the Ramalingaswami Re-entry Fellowship Scheme etc. are among them.

2)IPR Policy: The launch of IPR Policy in 2016 has set a pace to resolve the IPR issues related to research and development in India.
