 Unsung Hero of India 

Accamma Cherian : 

Accamma Cherian was born in 1909. She was a teacher. On February 1930, she gave up her  teaching career to join the struggle for National movement.  Accamma Cherian under ' Civil Disobedience Movement' led  a mass rally from Thampanoor to the Kowdiar palace of the Maharaja . The British police chief ordered his men to fire on the rally of over 20,000 people. Accamma Cherian cried , " I am the leader; shoot me first before you kill others". Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation, hailed her as ' The Jhansi Rani of Travancore '. She was arrested twice during the struggle for independence.

আক্কামা চেৰিয়ান : 

১৯০৯ চনত জন্মগ্ৰহণ কৰা আক্কামা চেৰিয়ান আছিল এগৰাকী শিক্ষয়িত্ৰী। ১৯৩০ চনৰ ফেব্ৰুৱাৰী মাহত তেওঁ শিক্ষকতা ত্যাগ কৰি ৰাষ্ট্ৰীয় আন্দোলনৰ সংগ্ৰামত যোগদান কৰে। ' নাগৰিক অবাধ্যতা আন্দোলন' ( Civil Disobedience Movement') ৰ অধীনত আক্কামা চেৰিয়ানৰ নেতৃত্বত থাম্পানুৰৰ পৰা মহাৰাজৰ কৌদিয়াৰ ৰাজপ্ৰসাদলৈ গণ সমাৱেশ হয়। ব্ৰিটিছ আৰক্ষী অধীক্ষকে ২০ হাজাৰৰো অধিক লোকৰ সমাৱেশত গুলীচালনা কৰিবলৈ নিজৰ লোকসকলক নিৰ্দেশ দিয়ে। চেৰিয়ানে কৈছিল যে 'মই নেতা; আনক হত্যা কৰাৰ আগতে মোক প্ৰথমে গুলীয়াই মাৰিব'। জাতিৰ পিতৃ মহাত্মা গান্ধীয়ে তেওঁক ' ত্ৰাভাংকুৰৰ ঝান্সী ৰাণী ' বুলি প্ৰশংসা কৰে। তেঁওক  স্বাধীনতাৰ সংগ্ৰামৰ সময়ত দুবাৰকৈ গ্ৰেপ্তাৰ হৈছিল ।
